While Christian traveled to the CSIO5* in Rotterdam for the Longines League of Nations last weekend with Just Be Gentle and Chageorge, Philipp W., Philipp H., Ciaran, and James were competing in Steinhagen and Osnabrück.
The weekend kicked off successfully with a second-place finish for Christian and Just Be Gentle in the 150cm opening class on Thursday in Rotterdam. On Friday, Chageorge and Christian were part of the German team at the Longines League of Nations stage in the Netherlands. After one fault in the first round, the pair delivered a confident clear round in the second, contributing to the team’s effort. Unfortunately, Team Germany led by Otto Becker only finished in 7th place.
Meanwhile on Friday in Steinhagen, our young horses also showed strong performances. The 6-year-old Unique (Untouchable x Balou du Rouet), ridden by Philipp H., won his class over 12ocm.
In the qualifier (120cm) for the Bundeschampionat for 5-year-old horses, Chase, a son of Comme le père, placed fourth with a score of 8.3 under Philipp H., thereby qualifying for the Bundeschampionat. Oberon with James, as well as Zendaya and Taggi under Philipp H., also earned qualifications for Warendorf in the 6-year-old class.
Additional placings went to Callao L with Philipp W. and Comme le père, who is available to our breeders this year via fresh semen through our stallion station, ridden by Philipp H. in their class over 140cm. Cazaan’s Cecotto B and James claimed third place in the class over 13ocm. Divine also earned a ribbon in this class with James. Riding Carthago de Maya Z, James secured second place in the six-bar, the highlight on Saturday evening.
Also from the show in Osnabrück, Team Beerbaum returned with two more placings. On Sunday, Ciaran competed in a class for young horses with Kadanz van de Krommenweg Z and Zados R, achieving scores of 8.5 and 8.3.
It was another successful weekend for our team. Next weekend (Saturday, June 28 starting at 2 PM), we’re looking forward to the Riesenbeck Foal Show - admission is free.
After that, Christian and Philipp W. will head to the CHIO in Aachen, while Team Riesenbeck International powered by Horse Gym will compete in the Longines Global Champions Tour in Monte Carlo.
